Malas are traditionally used for Meditation and Prayer. "Mala" translates to meditation garland in Sanskrit. It is a hand knotted necklace consisting of 108 beads for keeping track of mantras during meditation.

How to use a Mala for meditation:

1. Get in a comfortable position sitting or lying down
2. Take some deep breaths and relax your body
3. Choose a Mantra or Affirmation that suits you
4. Hold your Mala in one hand loosely
5. With your other hand touch the Guru Bead (larger one at the bottom)
6. Move the beads through your fingers and repeat your Mantra or Affirmation with each passing bead.
